Prison Architect development release final update for Linux, Mac and PC

prison architect hits final release on linux mac windows pc

After 6 years and 45 updates, it’s time for #Introversion to put down tools on their most #successful #game ever. With a tablet version of Prison Architect in development (more on that soon), but for now that’s it for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.

The game was originally inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress and Theme Hospital and with over 1 million players having spent time inside, making it the world’s best lock-em-up.

“TWO MILLION players have now enjoyed Prison Architect. We are flabbergasted. We would like to thank every single one of you from the bottom of our hearts, for making this such a dream project.

After six years of development including over 40 monthly updates, this is the final content update for Prison Architect and the final video. We will of course continue fixing bugs and providing support. We are going to take a break for a little while, but we will be back soon with our next game.”

Introversion Software will carry on fixing bugs and ensuring future hardware compatibility, but it’s time to stop actively updating it and move on to new things. And those new things are looking good.

Introversion is giving a Thank-you to everyone for buying Prison Architect and making their dream a reality.

Prison Architect is available on Steam with various purchase packs for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
