RivenWorld: The First Era is an open-world sandbox multiplayer medieval RPG game. One that also takes place on a cursed island off the coast of Europe. Explore a vast world either solo or with friends. Create your own destiny as you fight for your land, gather resources, and construct your own settlement. RivenWorld also features a needs system, so you’ll need to hunt or fish for food. While you attend to your needs as you go.
This is a project the game’s creator, Zackary Pedersen, has always dreamt of being able to create.
The RivenWorld: The First Era current building system is heavily inspired by Minecraft and 7 Days to Die. While allowing players to build using a “block-based system”. On top of that, the game features a “Runes” system which allows you to grow stronger. This means you will have to find unique runes placed at shrines throughout the world.

When you’re not collecting runes, you’ll be able to fight other players with a variety of melee weapons. You may even be able to claim the throne as king of the realms if you’re good enough. Since the developers hope to bring in long-ranged siege-based weapons. Also a more advanced combat system inspired by games like Mount and Blade.
