This is where it’s at, more games being ported to Linux. Even free-to-play games such as Planetside 2 need to be looking fervently into cross-platform support from the start. This petition is in support of that movement. As a community of Linux gamers, this sort of initiative shows developers there is a serious opportunity to set the stage for the next evolution in gaming.
Gaming on linux will soon become a thing. With nvidia, ati, intel working to support gaming quality to linux along with valves steam, many other companies that port games to linux and indies, planetside 2 just cannot not to jump into this train as well. It’s only a win-win scenario to SOE and gamers.
