Michal “MM” Marcinkowski is the indie game developer creator of SOLDAT. Who now also finally reveals the debut of the sequel. Soldat 2 gets a release date of September 22nd, 2020 via Steam.
The release also comes after nearly 2 years of a “one man army” style development. So it’s a pleasure to see the creator of Soldat and Soldat 2 finally announces a release date. According the Steam page, this was supposed to be back in the summer. But the game is now in the final phase of several weeks of multiplayer testing. Ready to be released into Early Access with support for Linux, mac and Windows PC.
Since the game is still in development. Feedback from the players and help introduce new features. Expand the game further and launch a sequel that lives up to and surpasses the original.
“Soldat 2 aims to recreate the classic experience of online deathmatch famous in Soldat. With the same physics based movement, violence and guns. But it is much more than that with a new 2.5D look. With more weapons, customizations, gamemodes and experimental features. Such as motorbikes, battle royale and an agar.io inspired gamemode!” – says the creator Michal “MM” Marcinkowski.

Soldat 2 is a direct successor to the 2D multiplayer shooter, Soldat. Take the Internet and LAN parties by storm back in the early 2000’s. Developed to be a 2.5D multiplayer military shooter. All following the same format as classic Soldat. But this time expanding with a workshop community. So player can customization of every part of the battle. Right from level generation to the weapons, soldiers and game modes.
