Stardew Valley Linux and Mac release available soon

stardewvalley farming simulator coming soon to linux and mac

Stardew Valley is an vastly #popular #farming #simulator on Steam for Windows PC.

So it should not come as a surprised that developer ConcernedApe has formally announced that the title is coming to Linux and Mac very soon.

Breaking news recently in a post on their website, “the Mac and Linux version of the game are still in the works, and should be ready very soon! Still working on the multiplayer and version 1.1 updates, too, and will keep you updated. Thanks for all of your patience and support.”

You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!

Stardew Valley is also coming to consoles, “I’m pleased to officially announce that Stardew Valley is coming to the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Wii U!” Which should be interesting with a controller. Either way, PC gaming seems to have the advantage all around.

Linux Game News has yet to get into any gameplay, however, we do know the game is developed in XNA the same as Salt and Sanctuary. So expect a solid 60 FPS launching the game in Linux, but until that time, stay tuned.
