Steampunk Graveyard a zombie steampunk platformer is now available on Linux via Steam. Previously only available on Windows. This a low-cost casual release from UK based independent games developer Bad Logic Studios. Who are pleased to announce that their action platformer game on Steam.

Steampunk Graveyard is a 2D action platform adventure where the dead walk with a metallic clunk. While the nefarious Baron Richter von Sprocket has been terrifying the local villagers. Turning the bodies of the recent dead into piston-powered zombies. And they also come with mechanical arms and legs. Putting their brains into grenade throwing robotic drones. It sounds savage, but the gameplay is good clean fun, well mostly.
Steampunk Graveyard Trailer (Linux and Windows)
The gameplay is solid and it is what you expect in the trailer above. But the graphics are what caught my attention. Typically we see a multitude of low level graphics for such games. But Bad Logic opt for a more distinct feel. Just beware of things that go boom. Double jump is your friend, since controller integration is also included.
Changes in this update include:
- Added climb animation for player using ladder
- Removed Jump action from Climb Up button
- Switched gamepad Shoot and Jump controls
- Melee weapon more useful – cut vines or hit grenades
- Added more level layout variation
- Fixed issue with muted music in Options
- Changed end condition – destroy cannon, no need to catch balloon
- Windowed Mode in Options (can still use Alt+Enter or F11 to toggle)
- Default zoom much closer in (can still use -+ to change zoom)
It’s up to the Baron’s mechanically enhanced former protégé, Professor Selene Gasket, to journey from graveyard to graveyard to put an end to the menace. Armed with a revolver, powerful explosives, and spring-loaded blades. Players will venture into caverns below the graveyards as they help Selene shoot, blast and slice her way through steel and flesh as she thwarts the Baron’s plans.
New graveyard levels generate each time you play. Also giving players potentially unlimited gameplay. With the levels being short enough to jump in whenever you have a few spare minutes. And maybe you just want some zombie blasting action.
Steampunk Graveyard is built in Construct 2 game engine and the third game from Bad Logic Studios. Following on from Fortune and Gloria and Pirate Island Rescue, which are both getting updates with a Linux build. And since the games only $2.99 USD on Steam. This is cost effective gaming.
