Seriously, this game is about 1000x better than it would have been if it were made in a vacuum. A true testament to the power of involving the community in development.”
Streets of Rogue – Release Date Trailer (Linux, Mac, Windows PC)
The post also goes on to outline the launch version. Which will include a bunch of new achievements and mutators. Since Streets of Rogue will continue to receive updates after release. So stay tuned, because there’s plenty more to come.
Seeing gameplay is already good fun. Even more so when play with other people. Either in multiplayer, online multiplayer and local multiplayer. Also co-op, online co-op, local co-op in shared split screen. OR good old fashioned cross platform multiplayer.
So rather than Streets of Rogue taking place in a dungeon. The gameplay is in a functioning, procedurally generated city. Where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life. Those who are just trying to get by in their daily activities.
In order to progress. The player has to accomplish specific mission goals. Doing so in any way they see fit. And of course using their special character traits, items and environment for survival.
Streets of Rogue is available now on Steam and Humble Store. Priced at $14.99 USD. Available for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
