Sunblaze precision platformer due to get native support for Linux with Mac and Windows PC. Thanks to recent feedback from developer Games From Earth from Belgium. Which is coming to Steam and GOG this May.
Sunblaze is a story driven precision platformer with lots of challenges. This also means massive game time, and loads of fun even for the best players. All published by Bonus Stage Publishing and due to arrive on May 13th on Mac and Windows PC via Steam & GOG. Although a GOG listing is not available yet. Sunblaze’s PC demo is now available for a limited audience, anyone can sign up to the queue via this link. On top of this, developer Games From Earth also offers this detail in an email reply:
The game is being developed using Unity. We do plan on a Linux release. I can’t say if it will be supported on day 1 though, depends on how smoothly it will go. But we’ll do our best.
The use of Unity 3D is no surprise, but it’s a pleasure to know that Linux is in the plan. But this may not be a day one release. Although fingers cross the developers are able to make it happen.
So, what is Sunblaze? To put it simply: if you liked Celeste or Super Meat Boy, you will dig the gameplay. And if you have not heard of those two: you will most likely still love Sunblaze. This is beautiful, hand crafted precision platformer where you play a teenage girl Josie. Who starts superhero training in a simulator built by her retired superhero dad. Among the over 500 levels, Josie comes across brain twisting puzzles. There are also epic double jumps and dashes, silly dad jokes, dangerous obstacles. Oh, and her sidekick is a cat.
Sunblaze – Demo out now
Sunblaze is a fresh and amusingly challenging addition to the selection of precision platformer games. Pixel graphics look stunning and the whole art style is just beautiful. Sunblaze’s demo is now available for a closed audience. But you can explore the Windows PC build via Proton. Just fill out this request form.
While Sunblaze offers a perfect environment to succeed, lose your nerve and succeed again. While leaping around the room full of dangers. The gameplay embodies a relatable father daughter relationship. In a slightly unusual setting, maybe. But, who wouldn’t want training to be a superhero, by one’s dad?
Josie, aka. Sunblaze can, well, obviously jump, dash, hold on to walls, and do many other tricks. Since gameplay offers a massive amount of game time with almost endless amounts of levels to complete. Sunblaze is an optimal combination of epic fun and mad challenging moments which is due to engage the player for hours.
Lead Josie, aka. Sunblaze into a superhero training simulator built by her dad. Also offering up an awesome story, a superb soundtrack, and a beautiful game design. All due to make its way on to Steam and GOG, May 13th. Coming to Mac and Windows PC, and hopefully with success, native support for Linux on day one.
