Super Rad Raygun retro platformer games leaving Steam but still supporting Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Thanks to independent game developer TRU FUN Entertainment. There are also some further release changes for Steam.

Super Rad Raygun first released back on November 8, 2016. The retro inspired 2D platformer also has some Positive reviews on Steam. Not bad for an Early Access game. Available on Steam for Linux, Mac and Windows PC  Last year, game also received a DRM-free release on Itch.io.

So on Friday, August 30th 2019. Developer TRU FUN Entertainment will be closing its doors.
However, due to prior publishing agreements. Super Rad Raygun will also be taken down from the Steam store. But the game will be available DRM-free on Itch.io for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.

Gameplay pits Rad against a whole new wave of deadly enemies and locations. From the Communist strongholds of the Far East. To strategically insignificant islands off the South American coast. But chill out, because Rad has gnarly new weapons, upgrades, and a revamped gameplay engine to help him out.

Ultra sharp 144p resolution graphics for Super Rad Raygun. And 4 unique shades of monochrome off green. All bring Rad Raygun to life, as only 80′s mobile technology can.

The release is a nod to video games and pop culture of the 1980’s. And also pokes fun at the politics of that era. It is a trip down memory lane for retro action enthusiasts. While having support for modern systems and play mechanics. Those familiar to today’s gamer.

Super Rad Raygun is currently 75% off on Steam. Priced at $1.24 USD. For players that purchase on Steam before August 30th 2019. The game will remain playable in their Steam Library. After August 30th, the games leaving Steam. So only available on Itch.io.
