Superhot a first person shooter coming to Linux, Mac and Windows PC in 2015

At this time Superhot is still in high demand, and due to #launch later this year. The title was backed by 12,000 Kickstarter fans who funded this curiously appealing game to the tune of $250K.

Superhot is a first person #shooter planned for #Linux, Mac and Windows PC, where time moves only when you move. With its mesmerising gameplay and unique, stylized graphics Superhot aims to finally add something new and disruptive to the FPS genre. A minimalist shooter that offers 40 short and elegant action sequences, during which AI assailants attack the player with firearms. But you eee the bullets crawling towards you as you carefully plan your steps and aim your gun. Enjoy the mayhem that is unleashed as you put that plan into motion. Dodge bullets. Take out your enemies. One step at a time.

The player is armed, not just with a gun., but the player stops time in Superhot by ceasing to move. Which is the essential twist in the game. During the standing-still time, you aim weapons, best done with an Xbox controller. And that aiming can take some time to get accustomed too, where precision is necessary.
Not only that, but Players can also physically assault enemies, like grabbing weapons mid-air. This combination of movements fills in the game with the overall rhythm and nature of the gameplay.

Superhot presents a greater degree of challenge in gameplay that presents more as puzzles to solve. Yet it is really an action game, where players time movements, make the right choices, and of course hit the target. From we know so far, death restarts a level, which is usually short and to the point.

Superhot started as a 7 Day First Person Shooter (7DFPS) game jam project made by a group of friends in August 2013. After making a prototype version of the game and polishing it in time for the WGK Conference in September 2013, the team managed to win the Developer Showcase award. After that they’ve decided to release the initial build of Superhot to the Internet – where it quickly garnered a massive amount of attention from the press and players. Thanks to the support of the fans, Superhot went through the Steam Greenlight process during a single weekend. That’s when the team decided to develop the game further.

Superhot has it’s own unique visual style. The world is completely white, while weapons and such are in black, and figures in red. This makes for a very different type of game and one that is indeed pleasing. Which is impressive for a title that does not have an official release date just yet.
