Superliminal adds a free multiplayer and the game is on sale for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. All thanks to the ongoing efforts of developer Pillow Castle. Which is on sale via Steam and GOG. While continuing with those 93% Very Positive reviews.

After a wildly successful launch on Steam last year, now developer Pillow Castle Games is eager to mark the one year release anniversary. All for their forced perspective puzzle game, Superliminal. To celebrate this milestone, they have added a free multiplayer game mode. This will allow players to feel the joy and frustration of puzzle solving with up to 12 friends. Doing so in a series of frantic obstacle courses. This experimental “battle royale” mode is available right now to everyone who owns Superliminal. Which will remail through the holiday season. Maybe longer?

Superliminal is a first person puzzle game that uses perception as a mechanic. While you play as someone who wakes up in a very lucid dream. As you complete puzzles to get to the next exit, certain patterns and truths become more obvious. In this game, everything is not exactly what it seems to be! So expect everything is the opposite of what you think it is. That’s not right. This is a game about breaking beliefs and thinking outside the box. What you see is what you get. Literally. Superliminal: Group Therapy – Free Multiplayer Update

Experimental “Battle Royale” Mode
This seasonal Superliminal update offers a fun and frankly surreal spin on the forced perspective puzzle game. Since this is what players have come to know and love. This totally normal, not strange at all “battle royale” mode will pit up to 12 players against each other. Doing so in a series of randomly generated rooms full of surreal obstacles in a race to the end. Also under the watchful eye of the Standard Orientation Protocol. Therefore, just look for the exit signs… and watch out for the ducks!

Ready to grab some friends and join Dr. Glenn Pierce in his “SomnaSculpt Dream Therapy” program? Superliminal will be available on Steam with a celebratory 50% discount until November 12th, making it only $9.99 USD. The GOG multiplayer mode will require Galaxy to play. Still, this is also the steepest discount ever. Along with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC.
