Shiness The Lightning Kingdom, the ActionRPG developed by Enigami, #releases this #fall on Linux, Mac, Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Next week, players will have the chance to pre-order the game on Steam, benefiting from exclusive #bonuses detailed in this news. While Shiness‘ Gamescom Trailer brought more information about the story of the game, the images unveiled today will embark you further into the magical and inhospitable lands that make up the world of Shiness.

Shiness The Lightning Kingdom sends players deep inside the corrupted forest of Meonis, a land originally inhabited by Meonians. This old civilization once lived in harmony with nature, but fled to Mantara City in order to escape the Curse of Adorn. Meonis forest is now infested by evil creatures from the obscure Shi, and home to the palace of the dead King Meos, a dark place where only the bravest of heroes would dare visit. Further in the North, at the Peak of Shiyawo Mountains, Chado observes the Hall of Giants – the only gate for exiled people to access the lands of Adorya.

Developed by Passtech Games, Space Run Galaxy will #release on PC on June 17, the #sequel to 2014’s #SpaceRun. The game from a one-man studio Passtech, which attracted over hundreds of thousands of players thanks to its dynamic and original gameplay. Players can now pre-order Space Run Galaxy for 15% off on Steam. Preorder players will receive exclusive content including: the original soundtrack (mp3), 4 exclusive in-game badges, and access to the Beta starting one week before game’s release.

Players must defend their ship and its cargo as it travels the stars to deliver goods to their clients across an entire galaxy, with four solar systems and over 50 zones to visit. The entire first Planetary System will be open to players’ during the Beta.

Squad Developers re-cap leading up to an Early Access Release on Steam

As Squad moves into the 20 day# countdown to #Steam release on December 15th for Windows PC, with a Linux release coming in Q2 2016, the #developers want to introduce some features that have been in the works in the background for the last several months.  Two new factions are revealed, Russia Ground Forces and irregular Militia, integration of the Simul trueSKY™ to provide real time local weather in Squad’s real world maps’ locations, four new maps are shown in greater detail, two based on real world locales, one is a remake of a classic Project Reality Mod favorite, and the final new map is a CQB training range for squad level tactical engagements.  The tracers and explosions have been rebuilt and a half dozen new weapons have been added to the game in the form of new kit loadouts for players to choose.  Finally, a new system to randomize statics each and every round, be it a window or door missing up to an entire complex of buildings being replaced, crop fields turning into woodlands or any other reality bending manipulation the developers can theorize and in turn allow our own mappers and map modders easily and procedurally randomize their maps to keep the tactical situation fluid and unique each and every round of Squad.

Midnight PST November 30th 2015, the developers are ending pre-purchasing of the Squad Leader tier and the end of the Founders program with associated limited edition perks.  Currently available at joinsquad.com/prepurchase as a Founders “Squad Leader” Package with the following perks on Steam:

The Factions

The team at Offworld Industries is proud to present a preview of the larger feature being worked on in the background over the last several months and show off some of the characters and locales that gamers will be introduced to on Early Access Release, December 15th.  These characters models have been in the works for months under wraps, and will include Russian Ground Forces, with both their traditionally known current woodland camo and their less often seen desert camo patterns, equipped with near past and present weaponry and accoutrements.  In opposition and ready to brawl in Early Access are the irregular Militia faction, a homegrown defense force with an eclectic mix of uniforms and weaponry.  The Russians and Militia will riding newly introduced light vehicles and slinging newly introduced weaponry in the Early Access Release, the MP443, AKM GP25, AKS74, RPK74, M4A1, and RPG w/ HEAT rocket will all make a debut on December 15. There will be maps for both factions across woodland European theaters and desert theaters where Squad’s existing Insurgent and US factions will enter into the mix as opposition forces in various game modes.

The Environment

Squad’s mapping systems have undertaken major overhauls behind the scenes, we have integrated Simul trueSKY™, the most advanced and reliable sky system available.The trueSKY™ SDK generates weather system data and updates it in real time, provides a day-night cycle based on latitude, longitude, time-of-year based on the real world locales of Squad’s maps.  Real time weather changes, dynamic volumetric atmospherics and fog, as well as rain (and possibly snow) are in the works for Squad!

The Maps

Four additional maps, Chora, Sumari Bala, Fool’s Road, and Jensen’s Training Range, get boots on the ground to push gamers to go tactical or go home.

Chora, a dusty town of a few thousand residents, and became a major conflict zone from 2005 going forward, it is a sprawling rural river valley and agricultural zone that has been an active conflict zone for nearly a decade so far.

Sumari Bala, is much denser and more claustrophobic map, a literal maze of walled residential compounds, market complexes and alleyways designed to confuse and disorient ill-prepared squads.

Fools Road, Eastern European asymmetrical warfare, this remake of our classic mod map is a huge graphical overhaul of the lighting and eastern european foliage in ways we could not have fathomed within the engine six months ago. The addition of a brand new set of train and rail-related statics, bunker/trench systems, and other european static sets will move Squad into it’s second regional conflict zone with a open world forest valley ambush spectacle.

Jensens (Training) Range, This fun little range has seen a number of interesting additions to the standard pop-up targets, namely with the creation of two different kinds of arenas designed to test a Squads skill at close quarter battle.  Expect to see continuous updates for training scenarios as community run servers are brought online.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a frantic 1- or 2-player couch #coop action #space shooter for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Nominated for an award in Visual Art at the 2013 Independent Games Festival, and since then it looks like the game has gotten even bigger and brighter.

Explore a colorful galaxy in a massive neon battleship that you control together by manning turrets, lasers, shields and thrusters. Only through teamwork can you triumph over the evil forces of Anti-Love, rescue kidnapped space-bunnies, and avoid a vacuumy demise. Deep space is a dangerous place, but you don’t have to face it alone!

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime Features

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime started life at the Toronto Global Game Jam in January 2012. The idea came out of a discussion about Artemis, and thinking how cool it would be to make a game out of that frantic scene in Star Wars where Han and Luke are climbing ladders and shooting TIE fighters in the Falcon. After developing a prototype at the game jam, we’ve been working on the game since June 2012, but went into full-time production in January 2014. We also regularly show the game at events and festivals to get player feedback while we’re still in development. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is the second game from Asteroid Base, a team spawned in Toronto’s game jam scene comprised of Matt Hammill (creator of the award-winning Gesundheit! on iOS), illustrator Jamie Tucker, and programmer Adam Winkels, with music by Ryan Henwood.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is set to launch on September 9th on Linux, Mac and Windows PC through Steam and on Xbox One. Pre-orders are available now.

Pre-orders now open for Evoland 2, coming to Linux, Mac and Windows PC

#ShiroGames #announced that Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder will initially #release for Windows PC on August 25th, with Linux and Mac versions to follow. Players who pre-order Evoland 2 though the official website will receive a special 10% discount, as well as a digital art book.

Evoland 2 is an a full-blown RPG adventure and the spiritual successor to the original Evoland with its graphics style changing as you travel through time and it’s gameplay evolving as you move along the storyline. It is also a much bigger game and a classic RPG at heart, with a complex scenario based on time travel, dozens of characters with their own backgrounds and ambitions and vastly different gameplay styles that are linked to the story and the player’s actions.

Typical for the Evoland series, the graphic style evolves through the course of the game, from 8-bit sprites to full 3D battles, and loosens up the new adventure with a wide variety of gameplay sections parodying different genres. Players can expect beat‘em all battles, challenging puzzles, pixel-perfect platforming and a tense shoot’em up – plus more.
