Since we started releasing gaming news, there has been no a formal confirmation for Linux regarding Inner Chains. We do know that “PC release” often refers to Linux as well as Windows gaming. However, we are working on further news and a confirmation from both the developer and publisher. So this news we have today is in lew of the #delayed #release, plus more on the #cinematictrailer.

“We received amazing feedback from players at PAX East. It was invaluable and helped us to recognize elements of the game that, due to our hard work, would become even better. After intense discussions, we decided to use additional time to add some finishing touches,” says Tomasz Strzałkowski, CEO of Telepaths’ Tree. “The publisher gave us the opportunity. And as a team we decided that the temptation was too strong. If we can, we want to focus as much as possible on the development of our game. We want to deliver the best gaming experience for gamers.”

It can become even better with a little bit of additional development time. Telepaths’ Tree cares a lot about the amounts of detail they put into their work. Inner Chains FPS horror release date announced – April 20th
Global publisher IMGN.PRO and #developer Telepaths Tree have #announced news. Hence the #release date for Inner Chains. Which the game will be available on PC next month, April 20th. So take notice, there is no mention about a Linux release yet. Despite being a Kickstarter Stretch Goal. So this news post is solely to highlight the coming release and the gameplay itself.
However, eager players will be able grab their own copy of the game on Steam for $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99 next month.

So the trailer above shows the creators showcasing their surrealist artistic vision. Yet drenched in a dense, suggestive atmosphere, in the newest cinematic trailer. Alls produced at accomplished production studio ORKA. The cinematics for Inner Chains are their first project with this kind of visual production. ORKA was responsible for all stages of the creative process. From general concept, to script, to post-production. The animation process alone behind bringing the developers’ challenging. A symbol and metaphor-laden vision to life took two and a half months.
“From the very beginning of taking on this challenge, we knew this project would be worth 100% of our commitment. This opens a new chapter in ORKA’s history,” says Magda Zimecka, CEO.
Krzysztof Azarewicz, co-writer of Inner Chains, was brought to the project, as well as Tomasz “Orion” Wróblewski, the vocalist and bassist of the cult death metal band Behemoth, who voiced the narrator of the trailer.

The Game

In this video you wake up in a grave as one of the pilgrims. Who are trying to reach their common goal. You are weak, slow and don’t wield any weapons. Therefore at this stage, you are not even fully aware of the real dangers, rules and harsh reality of the world you wake up in. But you will meet many different superficial hazards on your journey. Linux support is confirmed, after Inner Chains hit the Kickstarter stretch goal back in March this year. Closing out the campaign with 906 pledged backers and a total of $18,708 to bring the project to life.

Inner Chains FPS horror gets publisher support
Inner Chains the #FPS #horror game is coming to Linux, as we already know. Now after being picked up by publisher IMGN.PRO, the Polish company will be publishing and handling digital & retail duties for worldwide #distribution. IMGN.PRO will also be taking care the console ports.
Inner Chains was initially outlined to release on Linux and Windows PC release prior to IMGN.PRO. Having launched a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $18,708 with confirmed Linux support.
Inner Chains takes player through a survival experience on a harsh but terrifying planet of horrors. Aside from the nightmare-like environments, the player is tasked with discovering the secrets within ruined religious sites all over the dying planet.
Łukasz Kubiak from IMGN.PRO even commented on the addition of Inner Chians:
“It was a love at a first sight when we found out about the debut title from the Telepaths’ Tree guys. 3 unique guns revealed in Inner Chains, check out the video and Linux support in sight
With 2 more weeks to go and the first stretch goal of $15,000 almost reached, Telepaths Tree developers are on a good way to double their initial Kickstarter goal and raise $20,000 in funding.
It turns out there must be quite some Linux gamers out there, waiting impatiently for Inner Chains release and #supporting the game’s #crowdfunding campaign, as it has almost reached the first stretch goal on Kickstarter. $15,000 will allow developers to #release the game not only on PC with VR support, but also on Linux. And with just $5,000 more Telepaths Tree will be able to bring two, new, deadly opponents to the game. To make it happen and bring more backers to the campaign, they have decided to shed more light on one of the most important things in games with FPS factor. And that thing being guns!
Some of them were already revealed on Inner Chains’ Kickstarter campaign page, where Electro Gun was introduced among others. But one thing are concept arts or screenshots even. Another is a video showing the gun in action and the impact it’s electric power has on the environment. Keen to see what’s Electro Gun is capable of?
In the world of Inner Chains you never quite know what is alive and what is mechanical. During the biomechanical evolution various creatures were formed, that accumulate huge amounts of energy. Watch them carefully to learn how to use them for your own benefit. And look for places where the energy overflow is being released, to increase your health and recharge your weapons’ batteries.
Biomechanical plants you’ll meet on your way also accumulate energy from the environment. And it also quite often happens, that they gather too much of it. Which results in vegetation in Inner Chains being completely unpredictable. The energy overflow can cause a hyper-excitability in plants you’ll encounter, which is shown on the already mentioned VIDEO. You can use this feature against your opponents but you can become a victim of it just as easily. And there are many more such surprises in Inner Chains.
Going a bit more into details when it comes to ElectroGun – operating it is based on electricity which is all around you. Your goal will be to find places where this energy is released, to recharge your gun’s batteries. Remember about this at all times. Otherwise ElectroGun will start to look for energy it needs inside you, turning itself into parasite and you into its host.
The basic function of ElectroGun is to throw lightning strikes at your opponents. But you will be able to find upgrades for it, to raise its power. To a point where you’re able to throw ball lightning which has the ability of injuring several enemies at once.
As impressive as it is though, Electro Gun won’t be your only weapon in Inner Chains. You will also have Flame Thrower and Bone Gun at your disposal.
You will use your FlameThrower not only as an offensive weapon but quite often as a defensive one. Soon enough you’ll learn that a proper use of it, will be your only chance to survive.
Just like in case of ElectroGun, there are several updates available for your FlameThrower, which will either increase its power or unlock an alternative strike. One that makes a serious havoc.
BoneGun is probably the most unique of them all, as its ammo was formed thanks to the crystallization of some natural ingredients. Ingredients that are naturally present in all living beings. Including yourself. So be careful while using a gun, that feeds on them.
BoneGun in its basic form enables continuous fire, but finding upgrades for it, will allow you to use it as a traditional riffle with a high firepower. Or you can decide to simply increase the power of the continuous fire.
Remember that every weapon you use in Inner Chains impacts the environment this or other way. So watch your surroundings closely, to be able to pave the way to your destination point. And never forget to mind your own health while using weapons being at your disposal, as all of them act like parasites and treat you as their host.

Inner Chains the FPS horror game doing well on Kickstarter for Linux, Mac and Windows PC
It was a wild ride for #TelepathsTree team those couple of past days. Since the beginning of the Inner Chains Kickstarter #campaign, they’ve received an insane amount of messages, feedback, interview questions and words of support for the project. This, in a bit more than a week, resulted in the campaign being now fully founded with the first $10,000 goal achieved and the game being #Greenlit on Steam.
This doesn’t mean the whole fun is over. In fact, now, with 23 more days to go, it starts in earnest.
