NECROPOLIS-livestream-event-july-9th

Twitch partner channel Hyper Rabbit Power Go (Hyper RPG), in cooperation with indie game developer Harebrained Schemes and Bandai Namco Entertainment of America, will host a historic #livestreaming NECROPOLIS CO-OP #DEATHJAM on Saturday, July 9th from 10am-10pm PDT.

A myriad of Twitch and YouTube luminaries, including ManVsGame, Jessica Marzipan, Margaret Krohn, Team Main Menu, plus many, many more, will take on the NECROPOLIS. The streamers will converge on the Hyper RPG studio in Seattle, joining forces to survive NECROPOLIS: A Diabolical Dungeon Delve, which launches Tuesday, July 12th on Steam and GOG and features 4-player easy drop-in co-op play.

The marathon twelve hour NECROPOLIS CO-OP DEATH JAM features wicked prize giveaways every hour, including Steam codes, copies of the NECROPOLIS Collector’s Edition by iam8bit, and Limited Edition “UNIDENTIFIED POTIONS” courtesy of Jones Soda.

DEATH… WITH FRIENDS!
In NECROPOLIS, death comes easy – so why not bring some friends along? The 3D action roguelike blends timing-based third-person combat with procedurally generated environments, monsters, and treasure. Those elements, married with the game’s striking minimalist art style, sardonic tone, and permadeath gameplay combine for an addictive and original “just one more time” experience.

Features

  • DEATH IS PERMANENT. Game Over? Jump right back in with a new adventurer and try again!
  • DEATH IS DIFFERENT EVERY TIME. A new procedurally-generated dungeon with every death.
  • DEATH IS BETTER WITH FRIENDS. Drop-in / drop-out co-op multiplayer for up to 4 players!
  • DEATH IS MONSTROUS. Gemeaters, Changelings, Hoardmen, and more – they exist to kill you.
  • DEATH IS NOT WITHOUT PERKS. Each new dungeon is littered with powerful weapons, armor, and upgrades to wield against your foes. (And there’s crafting, too!)
  • DEATH IS UNAVOIDABLE. But don’t worry, this NEXT playthrough is totally the one. We’ve got a good feeling about it.

In NECROPOLIS, players assume the role of a nameless adventurer attempting to escape a living, magical dungeon that reconstructs itself on each playthrough. Craft, equip, explore, and fight to stay alive against all manner of fearsome threats in the twisting labyrinth and endless chasms of this diabolical death dungeon.

Hitman 2016 shows Linux and Mac support as Square Enix pushes cross-platform support

hitman-2016-coming-to-linux-and-mac

As one Linux gamer pointed out on #Reddit, it appears that Hitman 2016 is indeed looking to make a Linux #debut, as pointed out on SteamDB. Most SteamDB references to Linux have usually come to reality, more often than not, but this is no ‘official #announcement’ for Hitman 2016.

As Agent 47, you perform contract hits on high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world. Future locations – in April, Sapienza Italy, track down a scientist residing in the sunny coastal town. In May, the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, Morocco. And as the story expands you will travel to Thailand and the USA before concluding in Japan later in 2016.

As you can see, there is a lot of Linux showing up for Hitman 2016:

  • 236883/name: Linux HITMAN™ Content
  • 236884/config/oslist: linux
  • 236884/dlcappid: 439870
  • 236884/name: Linux HITMAN™ – Paris (236884) Depot

  • 236886/config/oslist: linux
  • 236886/dlcappid: 440930

  • 236887/config/oslist: linux
  • 236887/dlcappid: 440940

  • 236888/config/oslist: linux

  • 236889/config/oslist: linux
  • 236889/dlcappid: 440961

  • 439874/config/oslist: linux
  • 439874/dlcappid: 440970
  • 439874/name: Linux HITMAN™ – Requiem Legacy Suit (439874) Depot
  • 439875/config/oslist: macos
  • 439875/name: Mac HITMAN™ Binary Depot
  • 439876/config/oslist: linux
  • 439876/name: Linux HITMAN™ Binary Depot

And the SteamDB information outlines all six episodes, which would include 5 other locations in the HITMAN Upgrade Pack. That would mean a sizeable deal or GOTY-like discount on the way too.

Stay tuned for more details.
