Tomb Raider looks like it will be making a Linux debut according to the SteamDB

tombraider-might-have-a-linux-port-soon

We have seen quite a few titles receiving Linux #ports, but it seems that Tomb Raider #released in 2013 is now headed for a native port. Being a rather significant but somewhat late release for a AAA title, this does mark another milestone in native gaming. And the studio responsible for making the Tomb Raider available for Mac is of course #FeralInteractive. Meaning, we are bound to see some very smooth and responsible port.

Tomb Raider explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. Download the Turning Point trailer to see the beginning of Lara’s epic adventure.”

If a Linux port is in the works, which things appear to be, chances are we can expect the GOTY Edition released with all DLC’s at a significantly discounted price. Which also happens to have Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam.

The information about the Linux version came to light on the Steam database, even though not a definitive “yes” it is a good sign.
