Tala is an autumnal point and click adventure on Kickstarter for Linux, Mac and Windows. The games coming to both Steam and Itch.io. Which combines nature photography and traditional animation techniques. All to create a tiny world ripe for exploration.
Since this is the creation of game artist and animator Matt Petrak. Who has also relaunched the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for Tala. A puzzle point-and-click game. Also, the first day, the game has already raised over $3,000 of its $11,311 USD goal goal. And at the time of writing, the project is sitting at $4,191 USD.
So being the campaign is going that much better. We are also eager to share more details about Tala. Which is about a forest spirit who hasn’t found her place in the woodland she calls home.
Tala trailer for the point and click adventure:
When the Town Guardian is away to find food for the upcoming winter. Tala is in charge of making sure the townsfolk stay out of trouble. But when the Town Guardian also becomes stranded, it’s the duty Tala to make sure he gets back before winter.
Petrak founded The Garden Well, a microgame studio, back in late 2017 in order to bring the passion project to life. The first Kickstarter campaign ended up being $5,000 under its goal, so Petrak is trying one more time to make this game a reality. Once the indie game has met its goal, the current plan is to release it in three chapters for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
