Terraria announced the official launch for Linux and Mac

Re-Logic just #announced the #official launch of Terraria the Linux and Mac versions. This has been a very long time in coming, the community has been looking for platform #support for some time.

Cross-buy is enabled, so there is no need to buy another client; just download directly from Steam.

Re-Logic also notes the new clients comes with full Steam Play support, meaning you can bring your PC progress with you, and switch back and forth between clients as necessary.

Terraria was recently updated to version 1.3, adding a ton of new features to the 2D sandbox. Re-Logic intends to continue supporting the game for quite some time, and have not begun work on the sequel. An RPG spin-off called Terraria: Otherworld is in the works with partner Engine Software.
