The 7th Guest 3 The Collector crowdfunding launches for PC Mac Linux and iOS

The agreement with Angel Valley Media will see the firm license The 7th Guest for film and television treatments.

“The 7th Guest is a landmark in gaming history,” said Angel Valley president Matthew Lewis. “Bringing Henry Stauf and the rich universe of the series to life in film was inevitable.

“We’ll be working side-by-side with Trilobyte Games to give players a new look into Stauf’s world, with new storylines and characters tightly interwoven with the game series.”

Now about the crowdfunding initiative: in the world of The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, you re-enter the mysterious Stauf mansion, newly remodeled and filled with classic Stauf games, toys, diabolical puzzles and artifacts.

The team working on the game consists of series veterans and new additions, and is in development for iOS, Linux, Mac, and PC.

Our initial goal is $65,000. And, we are offering a full compliment of reward tiers available for pledges. Once that initial goal is met, we will collect your pledges and step up game development toward what we are calling T7G3: The 1st Story which will be a playable mini-version of the game that includes the entire first floor of the mansion, some puzzles, cool music and a few supernatural delights.

Meanwhile, the campaign will continue to remain open to meet two essential stretch goals. Some rewards are designed to kick in at reaching the initial goal. Others, which are easily fulfilled and are not dependent on game completion, kick in at stretch goal #1. At stretch goal #2, which is full funding, the remaining rewards kick in.

Trilobyte Games has The 7th Guest 3 The Collector on CrowdtiltOpen, a new platform from the team behind Crowdtilt for Reddit, and as of press time, the project has earned $27,033 towards the $65,000 with 24 days left.
