The unique sci-fi submarine simulator Barotrauma release its second major update. Aptly called ‘The Beasts Within’.
While Barotrauma sends up to 16 players on an underwater journey. Doing so in a range of submarines beneath the surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa. It’s there they’ll discover alien wonders and/or horrors. Therefore you must command various submarine systems. Work together and survive dangers from both outside and within.

Raft of quality of life features but new content:
- New Character Customisation Options: 30 new character sprites in The Beasts Within. Including new hair, beard and accessory options. While giving fans more ways to make their crew feel visually unique.
- New Kastrull Submarine: The Kastrull is a dependable attack submarine. Which also brings plenty of firepower to any fight. Sporting an experimental open ballast tank. Low tolerance to flooding and numerous crew stations. Similarly, a large, experienced crew will get the most out of these subs.
- New Traitor Missions: The ability for players to secretly work against their teammates. Manufacture an underwater demise. Which is also one of the most popular ways to play Barotrauma online. The Beasts Within update adds five bonus traitor missions. Plus more varied objectives than before.
- New Hammerhead Monster Species: This new alien species will pose a challenge even for Barotrauma veterans. Since the tiny Spawn variants aren’t a danger on their own.
