The Darkside Detective: Season 2 gets a Publisher for the coming release on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Thanks to developer Spooky Doorway. The game is due to arrive on Steam next year. Which is the follow up to the Very Positive game released back in 2017.
Akupara Games announces its exciting partnership with Irish developer Spooky Doorway. Due to bring their title The Darkside Detective: Season 2 to life in 2021. With this, Akupara Games will publisher the coming release. They will also take the reigns for the original game. While releasing the series on new platforms, leveling up their porting efforts.
The Darkside Detective: Season 2 is a serial point and click adventure. Where you are dropped into the shoes of Detective McQueen. Along with his sidekick, Officer Patrick Dooley. They are inspecting cases plaguing Twin Lakes and its colorful citizens. Point at everything in sight, click around mysterious and eerie locations. Then use your wits (or borrow a friend’s). Then lay the multitude of extra dimensional cases to rest! The game has since been the recipient of many awards. Including The Aggie’s Award for Best Writing and Indie Dome Award for Best Narrative in 2017.

The Darkside Detective: Season 2 also has a free demo. This features the first two cases in the original game. Currently available for download now. Due note, this the Windows PC build. But you can run the Demo on Linux simply using “wine thedarksidedetective.exe“. The game engine is Unity 3D, so everyone should be able to run the Demo.
