The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow a one Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman. As a result, she is writing a book on the barrows of England. While documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When a unique letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay. Tucked away in the remote countryside. She then sets off by train, while her assistant is a day behind.
Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant also never arrives. While a stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow. So of course the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone. And (gasp!) wears trousers.

Developed by British indie team Cloak & Dagger Games and published by Wadjet Eye Games. The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow is a folk horror adventure within the isolated moors of rural Victorian England. Its also the first Linux title from the developer. Due note, the game was previously going by the name INCANTAMENTUM.
