The Fermi Paradox choice driven story strategy to see support in Linux gaming and Mac with Windows PC. Thanks to details from developer Anomaly Games. Due to release into Steam Early Access next month.
The Fermi Paradox is releasing onto Steam Early Access on July 1. This will include support for Windows PC for the year or more of development. Likewise, support in Linux gaming and Mac will also be in the mix. According to details via the Discussions post.
I will cautiously say yes. But we will do the Early Access phase on PC first ( because we are a small team and testing every small update on Linux and Mac would be a lot of work ) and when EA is finished we will tackle the other platforms. We might do some beta tests that are not on Windows before we leave Early Access but this can take a while.
So clearly this will not be a day one port. However, it’s also a pleasure to see that a Linux port might be available for the Beta. Which is due to arrive before The Fermi Paradox leaves Early Access. The development phcase is due to last for roughly a year or longer. The game engine be used, Unity 3D.
