The Latest Humble Bundle Grows In Size

A week after the debut of a new Humble Indie Bundle, a bonus game has been added to the pay-what-you-want collection after crossing $500k USD in sales.

The Humble Bundle for Android 2 launched with Canabalt, Zen Bound 2, Cogs, Avadon: The Black Fortress, and Swords & Soldiers as a bonus. The game being added today as a new bonus is not Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or that other game that’s not selling well, but… Snuggle Truck.

If you’re contemplating to get this latest DRM-free multi-platform pay-what-you-want game collection because of this Snuggle Truck game, the promotional video is embedded below for reference. Like the other games, Snuggle Truck is available for Linux, Android, Mac OS X, and Windows platforms.

For some background information on Snuggle Truck, it’s a toned-down version of what was originally Smuggle Truck. From the Humble Bundle crew in an email to Phoronix, “And coming soon, Android customers will also be able to download the uncensored original version, Smuggle Truck. In Smuggle Truck, the gameplay is the same, but the truck is presumably carrying immigrants and the finish line is the border. The developer framed this as a satirical take on the issue of immigration, but it was reportedly too spicy for some game marketplaces. Snuggle Truck is the developer’s re-creation of the original gameplay without the controversial content.”

As of right now there’s been $544,776 sales in the past week from 84,934 purchases. The floating average price is thus $6.41 USD while the Windows average is at $5.74, the Mac OS X average is just above $7 ($7.02), and the Linux average is up to $9.86 USD.
