Arc System Works, Inc. is happy to announce that the brand new puzzle platformer on Steam. The games development also uses Unity 3D. And the reviews on Steam are a solid 100%. We have further news.
The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is the creation of director Swery65. Releases on Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. So we reached out for details about a native release.
“There are currently no plans for a Linux version of The Missing at this time.”
Which is sad to say, since this is a Unity 3D game after all. But there is an upside, testing the game via Proton works really well using a keyboard and mouse. I haven’t really put the time into testing controller support.

So no spoilers here, but The Missing is well done. And certainly deserves a Linux port. The puzzles are challenging and unique. There is also a Steam Discussion thread available for Linux if you want to throw your +1. But seeing as how Proton saves the day here, the game works at a Gold to Platinum level.

J.J. scours Memoria Island to find her best friend. Since she has gone missing during a camping trip.
However, this island was like a nightmare. So no matter how many times she sustains fatal injury, she couldn’t die. Instead is able to revive herself back to normal. J.J. ventures into the depth of the island as she drags her decapitated body along, enduring the pain.

While there, he released “Red Seeds Profile,” in 2010; a game now considered a cult classic. So being that The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is developed in Japan. There is a bit of a barrier when comes to platform support. Therefore, SWERY please issue a Linux build.
