The Occupation and the plans for support

the occupation and the plans for linux support in windows pc games

The Occupation coming soon and we have the games support plans for Linux. Thanks to the help of developer White Paper Games.
The games also ready to release on March 5th for Windows. On both Steam and Humble Store. But Linux is still on the horizon.

So White Paper prepares for the release The Occupation. Which we originally posted about back in 2017. Well now we have details for the Linux build.

Linux Support:

“Unfortunately, not at the moment! It’s not something we’ve planned for our short-term roadmap. But I do have your email saved for when we’re able to update the status of Linux.”

While the games development is using Unreal Engine 4. Linux support is the hope. But it seems that we need more Wishlist backers on Steam. Since this is a bit early still to expect a Linux release. But with enough votes on Steam, this would be an epic release.
Unreal Engine 4 games are not always the easiest to port. And expecting support prior to release is wishful at best. I’m sure we all know this by now. Even Epic games steers away from Linux for their games store. But The Occupation just looks too good.

The developer has released a new in-depth video. This shows the intense moments of interrogation. Also exploration and exploitation that change depending on how you play. This nine minute video dives into many mechanics. Which are fitting for a 1980’s journalist turned spy. Since we have a one way pager and stop watch. Also floppy disks of course. And how player plans to handle situations can have many different methods.
