The Way of Wrath story driven tactical RPG hits Kickstarter with support in Linux gaming, Mac and Windows PC. Thank to independent developer Animmal. The crowdfunding campaign is now live and already 27% funded.
This is the start of the Kickstarter campaign for the story driven, open-world tactical RPG, The Way of Wrath. With a crowdfunding campaign goal of €23,000 ($27,774 USD). With a number of exciting stretch goals. The team also plans to bring the game to Steam Early Access later in 2021.
The Way of Wrath Kickstarter campaign seems a bit confusing around Linux gaming. Since the Kickstarter page shows Linux as Stretch goal. While the Steam page shows native support. As a result, I reached out to developer Animmal and received the following reply:
Linux is now a base platform. We will likely have beta/EA focused on Windows and release Mac & Linux version closer to the full game release. The game engine is Unity 3D.
So hopefully this clears up the crowdfunding campaign even further. Since Linux gaming is now part of the formal release plan. Although, support is due to arrive closer to The Way of Wrath full release. But at least included in the mainstream support plans.
