The creators of Tinertia, call it a”Hardcore platformer with no jump button”, according to the #developers at #CandescentGames. Which it is indeed, what we experienced since the early alpha stages, which is more than enough to assure you this game is #awesome. But we are accustomed to a jump button, so it’s about time a platformer is moving the gaming universe forward with unique controls. The rocket-launcher is your primary controller in a side-scrolling game that does work a lot better than just jumping.
Playing as a robot called Weldon, a small robot stranded on an abandoned planet and very used to bouncing off walls. Your enemy is ARC, a “devious artificial intelligence” that rules the world your character is being thrown into. Overcome deadly obstacles, escape robot bosses, and find your way off the planet.
This is a game that presents a very physics-dependent control scheme. And to understand where you are going, you will have to understand how hard you hit walls, how much you will bounce, and of course how fast you are going. And of course the direction you are going is just as important.
