Trüberbrook is a thrilling mystery-sci-fi adventure game. The games in developer for Linux, Ubuntu, Mac and Windows. As well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Even moreso, Trüberbrook is over 200% funded via Kickstarter. While the original goal is set at $121,285 CAD. The campaign sits at $ 246,248 CAD. Yet there are still 15 days of the crowdfunding campaign left to go.
So the games developer is production company btf out of Germany. Which is of course an atmospheric mystery adventure game. “Truber-what?”, you may ask. Well, imagine “Twin Peaks” meeting “The X-Files”, but in rural cold-war Germany. And surprisingly the games doing better than expected. Mind you that hand built set is uber attractive. During the estimated gameplay length of 7 to 10 hours, the player takes the role of young American physicist Hans Tannhauser, who, while actually on a holiday, dives into the everyday life of the mysterious village of Trüberbrook– just to find out he hadn’t got there by accident. He’s here to save the world!

Trüberbrook publishing will be underway none other than Headup Games. While the release itself will be late 2018 for Linux, Ubuntu, Mac and Windows (all DRM free & via Steam). Supporting both English and German.
In order to immerse the player to the fullest, the team chose to physically build the world we envisioned, resulting an a unique, distinct visual style. All of our scenic sets are genuinely handmade. ‘Handmade’ as in: ‘Manufactured using real hands! And fingers! Not the most efficient way of doing things, but we’re loving it! Every little detail has a custom design and build. So this is a meticulous and piece by piece creation process. Including the paint, arranging, rearranging and put into boxes in between. If you were wondering…yes, there is glue involved. Lots of glue!’
