Undead game expansion launches now for Prison Architect on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the madness of developers Double Eleven and Introversion Software. Which is available now on both Steam and GOG.
Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven launch Prison Architect: Undead. This is also the eighth expansion for the hit prison management sim. Just in time for Halloween, players can add a horror filled objective to their management gameplay. While keeping an infectious spread at bay and your prison alive.
Undead brings a straightforward survival element to gameplay. One that is certainly easy to grasp but presents a worthy test to manage and master. By placing a Graveyard Quick Room in their prisons, players spawn the Undead. Due to crawl their way out of the ground. This never ending horde spreads their infection to other prisoners at a fast pace. Doing so getting them sick or biting them. Use every tool at your disposal to stop, drop, and roll heads of these walking corpses. If you need backup, call in backup in the form of Bounty Hunters.
Undead is also available with Escape Mode. This means players themselves can fight for survival to ward off the Undead and get out of prison.
Prison Architect: Undead – Reveal Trailer (Linux, Mac, Windows PC)
Key Features (also available in “Escape Mode”):
- Welcome the Graveyard
This brand new Quick Room satisfies your inmates’ needs for Freedom and Comfort. Making them feel calmer for 12 hours. Be mindful when you add gravestones though. Since as they will easily interrupt this peaceful setting in Prison Architect: Undead
- The rise of the dead
In Undead, no one is safe. And there are many ways to become infected. One inmate can get sick, some others can be bitten by an unfriendly undead. Or again a bunch of infected inmates can rise (aka spawn) directly from the Graveyard. Wardens have no power over the Infected units. They will move and act on their own in the prison until stopped. Inmates and guards can try and fight them off. But if they fail, they will join the deadly bunch!
- Who you gonna call? Bounty Hunters!
When things go south (because they will) and your prison can’t hold off the outbreak. It may be time to call the Bounty Hunter Emergency Service. They are tough, trained bounty hunters that will join your fight against the undead.
- New traps, techniques, and weapons
Desperate times call for desperate (and creative) measures. Use Undead chum to lure the undead, build a walled-off area and lock them inside. Or steal that glorious chainsaw you’ve been eyeing for a while. Everything is allowed to fight off the horde.
A free update, The Kickstand, also arrives for all players. Featuring Corgis, Siberian Huskies, and three quick rooms. This are Security, Kennel, and Parole. On top of that, players gain the ability to lock cameras and make monitors a priority for guards. As well as an empty room that can be used to separate prisons into sectors. All without using walls to divide and cut them off.
Prison Architect: Undead launch is available on Steam and GOG. The game expansion is priced at $2.99 USD / 2.09 GBP / 2.99 EUR. Along with Linux, Mac, and Windows PC support. The base game is also Steam Deck playable, but not verified.
