Undead Horde new trailer and release update

undead horde fantasy new trailer and release update for linux mac windows

Undead Horde new trailer plus we also have a release update for Linux, Mac and Windows. Although, due to development, there is more focus on Windows support. Hence the current Alpha state. But at least 10tons are straight forward about their release intent.

So that Q4 2018 release on Steam may just happen. Developer 10tons are also inviting random people from their mailing list into alpha tests. There’s a sign up form on the official website.
But do keep in mind, they can’t invite everyone, even though they need a lot of testers. So there’s a good chance you can get an invite. Currently the studio is looking for Windows PC testers. While details about other platforms will be announced later. Still, I do appreciate a direct release update.

Linux release update:

We’ve been aiming for late 2018 early access and feb-march (2019) final launch on all Steam platforms.

However, this schedule may change if we feel that we’re not ready yet.

Clearly 10tons are straight forward about their intentions. So in that regard, I’m not disappointed. The studio is using a custom game engine, so again changes take time. And I’m eager to dive into the pre-Alpha to see if the game works via Steam Play. But more importantly to get my hands on Undead Horde. Check out the new trailer below…

Undead Horde new Trailer for Pre-Alpha IV (Windows only, Linux and Mac coming later)

Some things the Necromancer can do in Undead Horde:

  • Re-animate slain enemies
  • Command undead minions to attack the living
  • Beat the crap out of living with melee weapons
  • Burn, maim and curse the living
  • Loot villages and towns for items and gold
  • Equip an endless amount of procedurally generated items which improve the necromancer and the horde
  • Gain levels and absorb souls which give him various upgrades

In Undead Horde the player assumes the role of a necromancer on a quest to eradicate the living from the ancestral lands of the undead. The player must roam a fantasy kingdom, kill the living, and raise them as his undead minions. Gradually the player grows in power and is able to take on ever more powerful forces. The player can also find and use an unlimited amount of procedurally generated weapons and magical items to modify the capabilities of the necromancer, and the horde, as preferred.

  • Slay enemies and assimilate their corpses into your army
  • Easy to get into RPG style hack, slash & cast action
  • Find items, level up, and raise the dead to become more powerful
  • Build up your Necromancer with items to suit your personal tastes and playstyle
  • Procedural item generation: Endless number of items to loot, steal and buy – can you find the most epic ones?
  • A vast world to explore and conquer – environments ranging from forests to catacombs.

You can Wishlist Undead Horde on Steam for Linux, Mac and Windows. The studio is aiming for day-one Linux support in 2019 for the full release. So that’s some good news.
