Since working development studio OtherSide Entertainment to publish fantasy RPG Underworld Ascendant. This is also a next-generation sequel to the landmark Underworld franchise. And since we have reached out to the studio via email, little has been revealed.
However, a recent post in the Steam Discussions gives some insight into a Linux and Mac release.
Linux Support Update:
“Hi folks, sorry about the confusion we’ve caused here. Our initial goal was to be able to give you all relevant information about the Linux and Mac builds (release timing, distribution platforms, etc.) at once. But waiting for all of that info to come together let this languish in confusion, that’s our bad.
So . . . we / 505 WILL be selling Linux and Mac versions of the game. We’re not ready to commit that they will be available the same day as the PC version, it’s likely they will come a short time after that to provide more time for testing and QA. Hopefully this helps and we’ll do a better job communicating in the future.”
Since there is going to be an effort to support Linux and Mac. This does not include a release date. While it does enforce the Windows first rule. Even though this is a Unity 3D release.
Which means the studio is likely seeking out further support to make sure the Linux release works. But we do have a new trailer below.
