Venus Looks for Jupiter new parkour game for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Due to the creative wizardry of developer DancingEngie. Which is yours to check out Free on Itch, if you dare test yourself.
Freeware indie developer DancingEngie is excited to announce Venus Looks for Jupiter. Releasing for those wishing to test themselves. This is a first-person platformer with a playtime of around 10-20 minutes. Due to provide a satisfying and empowering experience. All while telling a short story that’s all killer, no filler.
Mac and Linux versions are untested, though from my understanding of Unity they should work just fine. If you experience issues, try downloading the Windows version and running it using a Windows VM or wrapper.
This statement comes directly the Venus Looks for Jupiter itch page. While this may seem daunting, the game does run on Linux. But there is always Proton or Wine as a backup. After all, this is a Unity 3D game, and it’s pretty cool.
Venus Looks for Jupiter – Opening Moments
Players assume the role of the titular Venus. Doing so as she takes on a short journey across rooftops and interiors to find love. You know, while ALSO shooting at red objects with a big, fat revolver. The game is tailored around, and based on, an Israeli song of the same name. So much so that a dynamic music system will do its best to tie the song to a player’s progress. Should they tap into the game’s “flow” and master its mechanics, they are rewarded. Being the star of an awesome, fast-paced, and unrelenting music video.
Influenced by the likes of Mirror’s Edge and Titanfall 2. Along with the movement speeds of old-school shooters like Quake and Half-Life. The Venus Looks for Jupiter players’ main interaction with the world is staining its walls and floors with their footprints. Whether players climb further and further up office buildings or climb over obstacles. The game tests their dexterity without sacrificing momentum. There is nothing to explore, and nowhere to go but forward.
Venus Looks for Jupiter new parkour game is yours to play on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Completely free and yours to play on Itch.
