The date for Victory At Sea Ironclad release is February 25th. Along with a Union forces campaign, before receiving an additional Confederate campaign. This also includes mod support and custom battles later during the early access period. Plus you can tune into the official streams on the Steam Store page.
However, Evil Twin Artworks also has further news in their recent email reply. It looks like we will have Linux support for Victory At Sea Ironclad.
I think the deciding factor for a Linux release is getting enough players to actually give us feedback on how it runs during and after EA. I want to make sure it works for all. And as a small team we struggle to test the Linux build but can test Mac and Windows. We just don’t want to short change people.
So if it doesn’t happen on the launch of EA that can still happen during EA.
So there you have it, Linux support is coming. However, this may take place at release but certainly during Early Access. It’s also really impressive to see that Evil Twin are thinking about players. Not wanting to short change the community.

The focus of this game is on the American Civil War. Battles took place on both the sea and on rivers. Since the navies of both sides supplied their land forces with resources and transport. Requiring both to work together for victory. The Battles on the water really affected the course of the war and would be key to who takes the victory.
