Wait! Life is Beautiful! interactive psychological thriller puts support aside for Linux, but holds to Windows PC. According to a recent reply from developer Dramatic Music Plays. Which has a Prologue coming this week on Steam.
Dramatic Music Plays and GameNet are eager to announce the release of a free demo. Their very special upcoming game title Wait! Life is Beautiful!. Which is an interactive psychological thriller about suicide. Also based on the developer’s personal experience. And meant to raise the mental health awareness. Therefore start on August 6th, players will be able to download Wait! Life is Beautiful! Prologue. Since this will give you a chance walk a mile in the main character’s shoes. Living just one day on the Suicide Bridge in attempts to save some desperate souls.
However, the Wait! Life is Beautiful! Prologue is due to release on Windows PC. But there will also be consideration for Linux support going forward.
The game engine is Unity.
Linux port is not planned yet due to the lack of resources. But if the performance goes well after release. We’re going to consider porting to other OS’s and other platforms, including Linux, Mac and mobile platforms.

Playing Wait! Life is Beautiful! is like watching a spine tingling film or TV show. Since the viewer is in the main character’s tense mental state. The story revolves around a young ordinary office clerk. He isn’t a hero or a wizard, but an average citizen.
As we watch him, we lose ourselves in his emotional state. He’s exhausted by the monotony of life and hounded by thoughts about the meaninglessness of existence. He starts wanting to change something in his life. Maybe find new meaning in compassion and empathy. All while trying to help others. Entering a dialog with potential suicide victims. He will investigate their problems and will need to carefully choose the right words. It isn’t easy since the main character tends to hide his fear of difficult subjects. Including black humor and an ironic attitude toward the world around him. Ultimately, it’s his defense mechanism. In light of the stress of hearing these people’s stories and his pity for the departed. The main character experiences gruesome psychedelic dreams that give rise to the sensation of an approaching mental breakdown.
The point to be emphasized is that the developer ― Dramatic Music Plays. Who is also a single man studio from the so-called «City of Bridges» ― Saint Petersburg. Needless to say that the main reasons for choosing such a hard and delicate topic for the game. These are a personal experiences. And is due to raise mental health awareness.
As a side note, the one thing that still has not changed, requesting Linux support for games. Reaching out to developers on a daily basis is a job in and of itself. So it’s always a pleasure see native support for the platform. Of course, many indie developers still put Linux on the back burner.
