Warner Bros. Games Montreal hiring for a possible open world Superman game

Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio behind the open-world super hero title, Batman: Arkham Origins, #released in 2013, is now making a Superman video game through a supposedly leaked screenshot. Warner Bros. Montreal is looking for new employees for a team working on the new #openworld #IP, according to its latest job offers. This is also the team that led development on Batman: Arkham Origins, the prequel to the Rocksteady Studios trilogy.

This follows last week’s news on Gamesradar that WB Games Montreal is hiring for 15 positions regarding an open world action game, “a new IP project for next generation game platforms.” The game will have an online aspect, but even more interesting is the description, “a passionate dev team developing DC Comics-focused AAA games that evolve and celebrate the legendary brands of Warner Bros.” And Superman would definitely fit that description.

WB Montreal is looking for people to cover a series of positions, ranging from the technical director role, whose description lets us think its next game will still be Unreal Engine-powered. “Scripting languages and design tools of the Unreal Engine” is in fact among the requirements for this job.
Descriptions hightlight the target audience are the owners of “next-generation platforms”, which would be PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Just two years ago, Warner Bros. opened the new studio in Canada to receive a government investment of $1.5 million, one that required the company to hire 100 plus people from around the country, along with tools and equipment to be purchased by 2018.

We hope that this hiring operation will help the multi-platform development, namely for Linux for a better handling of ports, like the Batman: Arkham Knight due this fall.
