Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut free upgrade released for Linux, Mac and Windows PC

#inXhile Entertainment, the developers behind Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut have upgraded the game with the new #Unity 5 engine for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Adding in further content #updates and things the team would have liked to do in the original release. Now with the overhauled the engine, further assets have been changed, adding new gameplay mechanics, new voice-over’s, goether with thousands of newly voiced lines for key characters, plus added scenes, and tweaked almost all the encounters in the game.

Originally Wasteland 2 was released in September 2014, but inXhile still felt they could do better and decided to release an updated version. The developers at inXile Entertainment are not the first ones to do this. More recently, The Astronauts did this for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter having been updated with Unreal Engine 4, plus 4A Game remade both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light using their in-house game engine.
