Wasteland 2 RPG in the "final stretch" of development

Wasteland 2 is in the “final stretch” of its development, #inXile founder Brian Fargo has said.

#Fargo now hopes the RPG will be (mostly) locked down over the next three months, with the team focussing on bug fixing at the end of it.

“As we’ve said before we wanted to use the beta period to evaluate our release window,” Fargo says as part of a Kickstarter update. “To outline our current plan: we will have the team working to lock down every aspect of the game within three months such that we are only addressing bugs [at the end].”

There are, however, 1200-odd bugs from the “large passionate group” of beta testers that still need to be ploughed through.

But that three month timeframe does not coincide with the game’s final release, Fargo adds. “Do be aware the end of this three month plan does not represent the finish line, at that point there will still be work to do before we can release the game,” he said.

Fargo also said a Mac version of Wasteland 2 will arrive with the updated beta. The Linux version will be released afterwards at an unspecified point.

Alongside the details, two new screenshots of Wasteland 2 were also released:
