You play as Faye, a freshman who’s also the last in a line of badass demon hunters. She and her friends find themselves stuck on a haunted island where things get creepy fast. Think haunted classrooms, cursed hallways, and possessed professors. Since your GPA isn’t your only problem here.
The Demonschool demo gameplay is like chess meets chaos. In battles, you’ll plot every move during the Planning phase, then unleash everything in a wild Action phase where the attacks go off at once. It’s fast, flashy, and feels very satisfying when your whole team syncs up for a perfect combo.
If you’re into games like Into the Breach, you’ll dig this. Plus, the art style is nuts — a mix of 2D and 3D with neon vibes straight out of a JRPG fever dream. Expect monsters inspired by ’60s and ’70s Italian horror. Also, there are some very creepy designs that look like they crawled straight out of a Junji Ito manga.

There are 15 playable characters to unlock, each with their own powers and personalities. You can befriend, romance, or recruit them — depending on how your school life plays out. One moment you’re studying, the next you’re slapping demons with a giant rock or dashing through shadows, due to knock out a possessed janitor.
In the Demonschool demo you’ll manage class schedules, train up your team, tackle side quests, and try not to flunk while keeping the island from falling into the abyss. No pressure, right?
After a few delays, the devs at Necrosoft say this is the title they always wanted to make — and they’re pumped for us to dive into every spooky, stylish detail.
