We use our own in-house developed C++ game engine for Phoenix 2. It currently runs on 3 platforms, so Linux as a 4th is possible (and we are very interested in Steam Deck).
Firi Games’ reply is promising for Steam Deck and gives solid hope for Linux support. They admit in their email, it’s a lot of work — especially the tricky text rendering — but they’re on it.
