Turnbound releases an engaging PvP auto-battler game where strategy collides head to head on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. All of this is made possible by the ongoing creativity and passion of developer 1TK. It is due to find its way onto Steam Early Access soon.
If you’ve ever argued with a friend over who really has the best tile brain is finally giving you a way to settle it properly with the Turnbound release.
For the first time ever, Duels are coming and they change everything with the Turnbound release.
Until now, combat was all about battling spirits asynchronously by planning moves in your own time. This let your builds speak for themselves. However, Duels flip the board. This new mode lets players challenge each other directly, face-to-face, in fast, chaotic, brain-burning matches. It’s quick, it’s strategic, and it’s unpredictable. Indeed, it’s absolutely perfect for stress-testing builds, friendly trash talk, and crowning the undisputed tile champion of your friend group.
Even better? With the Turnbound release, Duels won’t launch empty. The mode will arrive with pre-loaded builds from some of the regular creators. This gives players instant ways to jump in, experiment, and learn from people who truly know how to bend tiles into cursed perfection.
Mark Your Calendars: The Turnbound Early Access Telease Is Locked In
The big debut moment is officially ready.
Due to enter Early Access on January 22, 2026, and the team couldn’t be more excited to finally open the gates. That extra development time wasn’t wasted, as it was poured straight into polishing core systems, improving onboarding, and shaping the release around months of demo feedback from real players.
Early Access won’t be a tease. It will deliver the full PvP auto-battler game loop for the first time, full of new content, new systems, and a much deeper progression path. This is where Turnbound truly starts becoming the title it is always due to be.
And yes, Linux players are very much invited. Early Access will be available on Linux, since great strategy games should be on the best platform.
Turnbound Release Date Announcement
A Cozy Surprise to Close Out the Year
Before Early Access arrives, there’s one more gift waiting with the Turnbound release.
Launching alongside Duels on December 15, a limited-time holiday skin will bring warm lights, sparkles, and winter vibes to your board. It’s cozy, festive, and just the right amount of strange, a soft glow wrapped around the spooky little world.
Revealed During Women-Led Games – And That Matters
All of these updates will be revealing during Women-Led Games on December 10, and for this team, that moment carries real weight.
As a women-led studio, sharing this milestone during an event that celebrates women’s voices, leadership, and creativity across the industry is deeply meaningful. It’s not just an announcement. It’s also a statement about who’s building this title and why.
Built With the Community, Always
The Turnbound PvP auto-battler release wouldn’t be here without its players.
The testers. The bug hunters. The theory crafters. The people who pushed tile combinations way further than intended and somehow made them work anyway. Early Access is the next chapter in that collaboration, and the journey forward will be together, one cursed board at a time.
The demo is still live, so if you haven’t jumped in yet, now’s the moment. And if you like what you play, wishlisting Turnbound genuinely helps as the team prepares for the Early Access release.
Duels are coming. Steam Early Access is ready.
The board is set.
See you on January 22.
