CloverPit is a roguelite horror slot machine game is coming to Linux as well as Windows PC. Thanks to the wild imagination of the team at Panik Arcade. Which is due to make its way onto Steam.
If you thought gambling was scary before, wait until you try CloverPit — the new roguelite horror from indie studio Panik Arcade. The folks behind Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom and publisher Future Friends Games (Exo One, SUMMERHOUSE, The Cabin Factory). It just made its debut at the Triple-i showcase, and it brought a trailer and a demo to mess with your head. But there is a native port in the plans.
Thanks for voicing for a Linux build! It should be quite easy to compile one with Unity! We’ll probably address it towards full game release, when we’ll also think a bit better about Steam Deck.
So there you have it — the demo won’t have native Linux support just yet, but there’s a good chance we’ll see it closer to the full release. The good news? It’s built in Unity 3D, which is a solid sign. If you’re eager to try the demo on Linux, Proton will work nicely.
So, what is CloverPit? Imagine if Balatro and Buckshot Roulette had a cursed baby raised in a haunted arcade. That’s CloverPit. You’re stuck in a grimy metal cell with nothing but a janky slot machine and an ATM that’s always hungry. Your job? Survive by paying off your debt every round. Fail to cough up the coins, and the pit eats you alive. Literally.
CloverPit Official Announcement
But here’s the twist — this isn’t a gambling sim. Not even close. The devs made it very clear: they hate real gambling. This title is about flipping the script on addiction and luck. You’re not meant to play fair. You’re meant to break the system.
Spin the reels, snag coins, grab cursed prizes, and stack wild combos. In CloverPit, you will build up weird synergies, unlock power-ups, and find ways to keep the money flowing. You’ll need brains, a bit of luck, and also, maybe a pact with a digital devil to make it out.
Key features:
- Every run feels like a final boss fight — it’s that intense.
- Tons of meta progression, multiple endings, and unlockables to chase.
- Over 150 trippy items and combo effects to bend the game in your favor.
- A creepy, claustrophobic escape room vibe that gets under your skin.
- And yeah, a dark story about addiction, luck, and trying to escape the cycle.
Ready to test your luck and your sanity? The roguelite horror demo’s out now. Fire it up via Proton — just don’t expect the reels to play nice. In CloverPit, the house doesn’t always win — but it always plays dirty. Make sure to Wishlist it on Steam. Due to release in 2025.
