Metro Exodus Linux support due a little later in the year while the Mac build is out soon with Windows PC. According to recent details from developer 4A Games. So we’ll have to wait for the release on Humble Store, Steam and GOG.

Metro Exodus the epic story driven first person shooter is stil due to receive Linux support. But it seems that the Mac build will be available in March. So it can take it’s place beside Windows PC. At least according to the 4A Game post stating:

We’re happy to confirm that the Mac version is expected to release on the Mac App Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store in March. With the Linux version due to follow a little later in the year on Steam!

This is an interesting post, especially since Proton support is at a Platinum level. But there is a huge range of enhancements for the Metro Exodus Windows PC release. So players can take advantage of a new Fully Ray Traced Lighting Pipeline. For those who own the latest GPU capable hardware from NVIDIA and AMD. Especially with Vulkan having Ray Tracing support and the latest NVIDIA driver. And this release is due to offer sharper image details. Including increased framerates and display resolutions.
