Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is killing it in Kickstarter games for Windows PC, but we have a Linux support update. Thanks to the good folks at Owlcat Games. Since the crowdfunding campaign blasted past the $300,000 USD goal. Now more than 130% funded.
Owlcat already has success in the highly anticipated Kickstarter campaign. Gaining funding for its classic isometric CRPG, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The campaign just launched and it’s also raking in funds.
So, in celebration, the studio is happy to share an exciting video. This showcases the animated cutscene and pre-alpha gameplay footage. Based on Paizo’s famous tabletop RPG. As well as the adventure path of the same name, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Due to arrive June 2021 for PC Windows PC via Steam and GOG. So where is that Linux support as previously stated?
Linux Support Update:
We express sincere gratitude to our Mac/Linux community for supporting our previous game, PFKM. We will try to do our best to deliver Wrath of the Righteous to these platforms. But we can’t make any promises. The original platform for the game is Windows PC. And we will consider bringing it to Mac/Linux. If we have enough resources left closer to the final stages of development.
This is the reply directly from Owlcat Games. So you have to read between the lines. Since Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous focuses on the biggest platform, Windows PC. Since Linux and Mac sales might not have been up to par. Which in turn does not warrant any development issues coming with these platforms.
So with that being said, with the current Kickstarter success. The campaign is obviously doing well. Therefore it’s clear that expanding platform support would be a benefit for Owlcat. But again, this support update means having “enough resources left” later into development. UGH!!! Not even a stretch for support??
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is an epic adventure. Where players rise to power as one of six Mythic character types. Ranging from the benevolent Angel or the ravaging Demon. Maybe the powerful Lich, the cunning Trickster, and a lawful Aeon. And last but not least, the rebellious Azata. Since every choice in the adventure will allow players to align themselves. So they can follow a specific Mythic Path. Becoming one of these unique beings greatly impacts the main story. And as a result, it grants distinct abilities and affects a character’s appearance.
The video details on the game’s three new Mythic Paths, new classes, and a new race have also been revealed.

The new Mythic Paths revealed include the Aeon, a cosmic judge of balance that can travel to the past. The Demon, an impulsive creature on the verge of losing its self-control. The Azata, a champion of the innocent and unstoppable force of good. Players may ignore these celestial powers and become a Legend—a mortal. Since they don’t need help from any deity. While inspiring people and destroying the demon lords. “Our Kickstarter campaign will allow our team to flesh out each Mythic Path with exclusive story branches and abilities that influence the game world,” says Alexander Mishulin, Creative Director of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. “It will also allow us to produce more content like new classes, races, and companions.”
In addition to the classes introduced in Kingmaker. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will allow players to choose. Selecting from the following five new classes: the Arcanist, Bloodrager, Shaman, Oracle, and Witch. They may also play as a new race of half-undead mortals called dhampirs. The number of archetypes per class will increase to five.
