The Dream first person puzzle project seeks funding on Kickstarter for Linux and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative efforts of developer Tanja Leonova. Now releasing the crowdfunding campaign for this surreal gameplay experience.

The Dream is in crowdfunding to help finish the first commercial title. The Dream is a first person game about adventure and curious puzzles. But seeks funding to raise €28,000 ($33,965 USD) by March 2nd, 2021.

The Dream is quite simple – everything you need to do is just walk around and enjoy yourself. Including both a day and night cycle. Where players are due to encounter surprises at almost every step. While searching for clues and solve puzzles. Or maybe it may not be that simple after all.

The Dream Kickstarter Trailer:

You are alone on a beautiful island and need to find your way back home. How? By searching for clues and solving puzzles of course. In The Dream players will encounter surprises almost every step. Both underwater and on land, during the day and at night. Doing all of this without stress and time pressure. Because the island is for you to enjoy. Free from violence, stress or a time frame. This also means that people of all ages can play the game.

  • Enjoy dynamic day and night
  • Enjoy seasons and weather effects
  • Feel no time pressure or stress
  • Grab and move things
  • Decrypt important messages
  • Walk under water and explore things
  • Discover items and solve puzzles
  • Click on different objects to rotate them

The Dream world and the environment is about 95% complete. Now creating the puzzles for the game. Taking further inspiration for ideas from literally everywhere. Tanja Leonova points out, this the most fun part of the project. Seeing puzzles are the biggest part of the project and the focus of development for the next two years.

Tanja Leonova is an independent solo developer from Sweden. She previously worked as a system developer and now follows her dream to make a beautiful game with challenging tasks. Due to merging both puzzles and nature together in this project. Who also emailed me, outlining that she is opting out of releasing Linux as a stretch goal.

The Dream is being developed in the Unity 3D engine. And it’s due to have 200 – 400 puzzles depending on funding via Kickstarter. Due to be priced at $20 USD during Early Access for both Linux and Windows PC.

The Dream first person puzzle is planned to release on Steam Early Access in February 2023. So anyone who chooses the Early Access tier €15 ($19 USD) for the crowdfunding campaign, will get to play the game earlier. And also be able to offer your feedback.
