One Military Camp epic new base building management game is coming to Linux via Steam Deck and Windows PC. Due to further details from developer Abylight Barcelona. Which is coming to Steam next month.
Finally, we can share great news: One Military Camp, the long awaited “manage sim” will be released next March 2nd, in Early Access. Due to having players take on an amazing experience in the game. So there are plenty of updates and new modes planned for the upcoming months.
Along with Linux support via Steam Deck.
For now, a Linux port is not in our plans, BUT the game is gonna be Steam Deck optimised. And since Deck works on Linux, there won’t be any problem in porting the game, depending on the demand.
While this is indeed good news for Linux, due note, One Military Camp is also being developed in Unity 3D. Plus, there is a reason behind the lack of Linux support, and it’s not Early Access. Abylight is using a custom Unity3D engine. This also means the dev’s have their own shaders, pathfinding, terrain system, and some other technologies. As a result, the team is focusing on Proton for the Deck, But still offer hope for a native port too.
